Inventory Reporting/Tracking
Ability to get a report generated showing the exact counts of how many items had been scanned/removed from inventory during a specified period of time. Optimally, a calendar based date selection would create a report showing the number of main products(excluding kits and aliases) that were scanned during that period. This would allow for quick reference of sales trends and determining restocking levels.

Confirm the correct shipping label is applied when packing is complete.
When shipping labels are printed in batches it is possible to match up the packed order with the wrong shipping label. By asking the packer to scan the shipping label before adhering it to the box GroovePacker could check that the tracking number on the label matches the tracking number associated with the packed order and mislabeling errors could be eliminated.
13 votesThis can now be enabled from the Scan & Pack settings as a “post scanning” option. The tracking numbers will need to be present when the order is imported in order for verification after packing.

Import Orders By Tracking Number or Shipped Date
Currently we import all ShipStation Shipped status orders into GP. This can cause problems when an order is on-hold for more than 7 days or an order is reshipped due to delivery failure.
To avoid problems can you add an option to import based on each unique tracking number or by the age of the shipped date, rather than order date?
This should automatically import old reshipped orders into GP when a new shipping label is purchased, as well as old orders that have been on-hold for a long time and only recently shipped.
7 votesWe have updated the API imports so that orders are imported based on the “Last Modified” timestamp.
Now when the Shipped status is enabled any newly shipped orders will have a recently update timestamp which will ensure they are included in the next import.
Each subsequent import should import only those orders modified since the most recent import.

make barcodes case insensitive
making barcodes case insensitive would eliminate a lot of annoying buzzes for us. All of our custom bar codes are all caps, and occasionally the caps lock gets clicked off for whatever reason and we get buzzed even though the item is correct. It would be much smoother for us if the barcodes weren't case sensitive.
7 votesDone! Searches and Scanning are no longer case sensitive.

CSV import/export for SKU's and BarCodes from products page and orders page
We really need more robust import/export options for bulk editing and for reporting. For example, what we'd like is the ability to bulk export SKUs to a .csv from the products page, make changes, and then bulk import the updates. This would make it easy to make updates and changes in bulk in MS Excel.
Also the ability to export only the products and kits that are currently awaiting shipment would be helpful. This way we can manipulate the data in Excel and create our own pick lists, bar code labels, kit labels, etc. on the fly rather than having…
3 votesIt’s now possible to make a selection of orders and export all items in those orders to a CSV file so the data can be used as needed. The export can be arranged so that skus from all selected orders are totaled, or so sku totals are broken down order by order.

Allow packers to scan once and enter quantity
We have a lot of small SKUs where customers frequently buy 20 or 30 of the same item. Rather than scanning each one individually, we'd like the ability for the packer to scan one of them and enter the quantity. This would make a lot more sense. Even if they count incorrectly - which is very rare - it's only a few dollars to fix the problem. The time spent scanning each item individually would cost us much more than that.
There could be an option on there for manager approval, but for us it wouldn't be necessary as we…

Automatically print label after pack complete
Add an option to automatically print a label when a packer complete "scan and pack". the label could be a "QC pass" that the packer can stick to the box, or a "Order #" barcode that a packer can stick it to the box. So for anyone whose pack and ship station are separate, the shipper can simply scan the barcode to find the order and print a shipping label.
3 votesThis option can now be enabled in the Scan & Pack options. Choose Order Barcode from the post scanning drop down.

Option to Restrict Scanning to Suggested order
Currently order items are suggested according to the packing order set per product. This allows heavier items to always be packed first, or promotional materials to always be added first etc. During scanning we allow the packer to scan items in any order regardless of the suggested order. A setting would be added which could optionally restrict scanning to the suggested item. It would be off by default. Would this option be beneficial to your operation?

Bare Bones "Turbo Mode"
Product scans in GroovePacker take 1.5 seconds each, on average, under normal conditions. This meets the needs of most workflows where each item is scanned, placed in the box and the next item is picked up to be scanned.
Some high volume workflows have orders pre-packed prior to scanning and the items are then scanned quickly in succession as they are packed into the final carton. Here it may scanning times of less than a second per item are optimal.
In order to achieve this the extra checks and optional features would need to be disabled. For example we execute…
3 votesThis feature has been added to the General settings page near the bottom. It is called “simple product scanning”.

add an option to sort scanned orders by date and time scanned
I like to check on groovepacker every once in a while to see how my packers are doing (while they're actually packing) and what I'd like to be able to do is view scanned orders (orders page > scanned) sorted by the date and time they were actually scanned in. This way I can see the most recently scanned order and get an idea of how far along they are. Bonus points if we can filter by user ID (though that part isn't as important for us)
3 votesLast modified is the default sort order, so the most recently scanned orders will show first in the Scanned list. If you sort by another column and wish to return to the default you can now Shift-Click the column header bar.

print barcode slip from search results
say you have a SKU that isn't barcoded and you want to print out some bar codes. currently, you have to search for the item, click on it, wait for the modal to pop up, locate the little icon next to the "barcodes" input, wait the .pdf to download, and then print it out.
If you could put that icon directly next to the bar code in the search results, it would eliminate a few steps. Better yet, if you could set it up to print directly to google cloud print (like ShipStation does) it would save the step of…
3 votesYou can now print product barcodes from the products list and from products search results. Show the print button by right clicking the table header and selecting “Print Barcodes” from the dropdown. This will show a column of buttons that can be used to print from from the list.

filter products list for bad images
we've discovered that, over time, eBay moves or deletes some of the product images for some reason. This causes the image in Groovepacker to be invalid, and we need to manually fix it. Problem is there's no way to filter for just those bad images. When an image goes bad, it always gets the same bad image icon, so I think it might be as simple as filtering for broken image links. Anyway, I think this is something that can and should be done. It'll make cleaning up bad images much easier, and inexperienced employees need images for every item…
3 votesYou can now generate a CSV report that lists all of the items with broken images as well as all of the items with missing images (grouped separately). The image urls can be added right to the file and imported to quickly fix images in bulk. Select All of the products from the products list and chose “Broken/Missing image export” from the edit drop down.

option to import only "GP Ready" tagged items from ShipStation
There are times when we would like to import just one or two specific items (customer pays for expedited shipping, for example) without importing everything in shipstation (i.e. orders that aren't ready yet). An option to import only items tagged as "GP Ready" would be nifty.
2 votesIn the ShipStation store settings disable importing both order statuses: “Awaiting Shipment” and “Shipped”. Now when you import, only the orders tagged with GP Ready will be imported.
If you have an extra import source available you can create a second ShipStation store and give it a unique name. Leave it’s import statuses both disable in the settings. Now you can import just from this store when you want to only import tagged orders without having to adjust your settings.

search products by partial image URL
images imported from eBay disappear after a while for some reason and become broken images. This issue may pop up with other venues in the future, too, but it appears to be only affecting images imported from eBay right now. So it would be helpful if we could search our inventory by partial image URL with a wildcard character. For example, "%ebay%" would bring up all the items with "ebay" in the image URL. This way we can periodically scan down the list and look for broken product images.
2 votesA “broken or missing” image export has been added to the product edit drop down. This can be used to fine all broken or missing images.

Add inventory receiving notes per product
We have many inventory items that require quality control checks, bagging, labeling etc. when they are received. It would be helpful to have these steps saved with each product and displayed when the product is scanned and received into inventory using the inventory receiving function. More in depth procedures, even videos, could be linked to, so they could be quickly opened from a company training site.
2 votesReceiving notes and images can be added on the product detail page. They will display when that item is received into inventory using the Receive / Recount function.

Add option to define "Intangible" products that do not require scanning
Depending on your order source you may have items like Discounts, Coupons, master items in Magento bundles etc. that appear in orders regularly but do not need to be scanned. Intangible items would show up as part of the order but they would not be prompted for scanning.
1 voteThis feature can now be enabled from each products detail page. An option to define intangible items automatically using a search string has also been added to the Scan and Pack options.

support UCC/EAN128 Barcodes
Allow lot and expire date to be captured with UCC/EAN128 barcodes are scanned. EAN128 barcodes can have multiple data elements. The software must parse the elements and then use the info.
1 voteThis is possible by including the required data at the end of the barcode and defining a separator string. Please contact support for assistance with this option.

Add shipping label verification for labels made in Shopify
Add a way for Groovepacker to pull shipping labels created in Shopify in order to do shipping label verification. As of now I don't see a way to do shipping label verification without Shipstation or an external inventory management system. Ideally, we would love to solely use Shopify to generate labels and packing slips, so this would be an incredibly useful feature for us.
1 voteThis should now be working.
The tracking number will need to be present in the tracking number field in Shopify before the order is imported for the first time. It should import with the order and be available to Cue the order and to Verify the label at the end of the process.
