automatically generate barcode from SKU for new kits
For almost all of our kits, we use the "generate barcode from SKU" function after we've created the kit. It would be faster if we could eliminate that step and if there was a setting to automatically generate barcode from SKU after we create a new kit and add the items to it.
1 voteI feel like this deserves more votes. If the scanning option for the kit is to scan the individual items the Kit barcode will never be used. We could assign a SKU barcode by default when the kit is created an it could be modified or removed.

Report product order groupings
A Report which shows which items are ordered together most frequently, this could help with organising how products are placed/located in the warehouse

Product option: "Add to every order"
This would allow you to specify certain items that should be added to every order. Handy as a reminder to add a sample product, special offer coupon, a small gift, or any other item not actually ordered by the customer. By combining this option with the skip-able product option you could allow the packer to optionally skip the item if required.

nested kits
in order to use the inventory features of groovepacker, nested kits will be an absolute must for us. So basically say a widget has 10 packs per case. Each pack is a stock keeping unit, so we set the case up as a kit of 10 packs which always scans as one unit (the case barcode). But then we have issues because sometimes we sell 2 cases taped together as a lot so we'd need to create another kit which scans as 2 cases and removes 20 packs from inventory. Add a vendor list, Purchase Orders and Receive & Reconcile functionality
Would you be able to utilize these features or you do already have a PO system in place? Are there any specific items you would like to see in a PO & reconcile system?

Option to disable inventory tracking for specific items
The classic software work around is to add 999,999,999,999 items to inventory and deal with it when they run out. This option would allow you to turn tracking off for these items.

Provide a page for customers to track orders packed in GroovePacker
Create a page where customers can search for and track their order using their email address and zip code. After packing orders we scan the tracking number and save it with the order in groovepacker so we can look it up for customers if requested. Since the data is there already all we would need is a URL where customers could search for their order using their email and zip code (no login required) and their tracking number could be provided if it's available.

Allow users to customize their feedback sounds
The existing sounds have the potential to be helpful, but also annoying to packers, especially the fail sound. Please allow users to customize their feedback sounds with profile settings of some sort. The ability to upload short mp3's or other formats would be ideal.

Inventory Cycle Counts
Cycle counts would expand the current Receive and Recount feature allowing segments of the inventory to be scheduled for counting on a given date or on a recurring schedule.
